VOCES8 is delighted to present an annual week of glorious music-making in the idyllic surroundings of Milton Abbey. The festival celebrates the joy of singing and plays host to an exciting cast of internationally recognised artists.

Academy of Ancient Music

The Academy of Ancient Music is an orchestra with a worldwide reputation for excellence in baroque and classical music. AAM takes inspiration directly from the music’s composers, using historically-informed techniques, period-specific instruments and original sources to bring music to life in committed, vibrant performances fit for the twenty-first century.

Andy Dickens


Andy Dickens is a freelance jazz trumpeter who plays swing, mainstream, Dixieland and New Orleans Jazz.

Andy’s lively trumpet and flugelhorn playing evokes the warmth and exuberance of Mardi Gras New Orleans; the heat of Chicago clubland and the excitement of small-band New York swing.

The flagship orchestra of the VCM Foundation, the Senesino Players is a dynamic, youthful and talented group of young professional performers based in London. They are conducted by Barnaby Smith, the Artistic Director of VCM Foundation and the Milton Abbey International Music Festival.
